Timber supports NICA by offering discounted bells for student athletes and coaches, and by making a contribution to NICA with every bell purchased through the program.
Use the code NICA20 at checkout, and help promote safety, respect, inclusivity and a positive community image on you local multi-use trails, while simultaneously supporting NICA.
There are several different ways to participate.
The easiest way to participate is to encourage your coaches and student athletes to use the code NICA20 when purchasing bells in the Timber online store. You'll get a 20% discount on your purchase, and Timber will donate a matching 20% to NICA.
For group orders of 20 or more bells, take advantage of even lower wholesale pricing and lower shipping costs. We can also arrange to print your logo on a small clear sticker that can be attached to the bell.
For group orders of 120 or more bells, we can additionally offer a team or league logo printed on the bell using the same factory printing as the Timber logo. Same pricing as bulk purchases, plus a $200 set-up charge. (Lead times of 2-6 months required, depending on production schedule.)
"As the largest mountain bike team in the Idaho Interscholastic Cycling League, the Boise Brave Mountain Bike Team gives a Timber Mountain Bike Bell to each of their NICA licensed coaches each season. With 155 student-athletes & 125 coaches, we use them to notify other users when we are approaching, especially on the descent! These bells are easily adjusted on/off while riding your bike and provide a great "heads up" to other trail users in our very popular, lower foothills trail system."
— Carolyn Park, Boise Brave Mountain Bike Team
"Oakland Composite HS mtb team installs Timber bells on all our coach and athlete bikes. Being an urban mountain bike team, our local trails are heavily used by hikers, dog walkers and sometimes equestrian riders. We turn on our Timber bells when riding at popular times and when descending. The gentle sound alerts other trail users before we've even seen them, giving them plenty of time to find a spot to step aside. The interaction is always positive with a "thank you for the bell" and our team saying "hi" & "enjoy your hike". Our park department loves that we use them, which helps with our local trail access efforts as well. We have always had great support from Chris at Timber bells and highly recommend them for all NICA teams."
— Katie Binder, Oakland Composite Mountain Bike Team
"Coaching high school mountain biking presents a unique situation as we try to keep our athletes safe. Our home trails are often narrow single tracks with plant growth that creates blind turns. After trying a number of different bells to warn others, we settled on the Timber Bell; it is an excellent design that is easy to use and loud enough to hear. Whoever is the leader of each of our six ride groups has a bell. In addition to preventing many accidents, hikers, equestrians, and other bikers invariably express appreciation for the warning the bell gives. We love our Timber Bells!"
— Bob Agan, Salinas Cowboys Mountain Bike Team
